My name is James and I'm a professional chimney sweep based in Carnforth, looking after customers across North Lancashire and South Cumbria — from Bentham in the north to Morecambe and Heysham in the south.
I trained at the Heat Training Centre and provide traditional and modern chimney sweeping, cowl fitting and stove servicing. I hold commercial and public liability insurance, and on completion I issue a professional certificate detailing the work carried out along with any recommendations.

Chimneys are like boilers — they need regular maintenance to stay safe and efficient. A neglected flue draws poorly, burns badly, and risks carbon monoxide or a chimney fire. Annual sweeping is the industry standard, more often with heavy use.
Seals wear, glass crazes and fire bricks crack. A proper service checks the rope seals, baffle plates, grate and firebricks, replacing what needs replacing so your stove runs safely and burns cleanly.
A well fitted cowl keeps birds out of the chimney and rain out of the flue — two problems that get expensive if they're left. Fitting is straightforward on most properties, subject to safe access.
Jackdaw nests block flues completely and are a serious fire and fume risk. Nest and debris clearance is followed by a full sweep, with a CCTV check where the flue needs a closer look.
