How we care for your home & chimney in Kirkby Lonsdale

Kirkby Lonsdale and the Upper Lune Valley are stone country: period cottages, listed properties and farmhouses with tall stacks and generous inglenooks. Many flues here are unlined or lined decades ago, so an honest inspection matters as much as the sweep itself. Rural stacks also see heavy jackdaw activity through spring.

Clean Setup & Room Care

Heritage Hearth Care

Heavy canvas floor coverings protect village cottage carpets and deep stone inglenooks, backed by continuous HEPA extraction to keep your living room spotless.

Flue Sweep & Appliance Servicing

Full Flue Sweep

We drop the throat plate to clear debris, rotary power-sweep the entire flue, and inspect stove door rope seals and glass for residential and holiday let properties.

Draw Test & Instant Certificate

Smoke Draw Verified

Smoke testing verifies clean evacuation through rural stone stacks, followed by an immediate digital certificate emailed for insurance compliance.

What's included

HEPA soot containment

Clean sheets down first, then a HEPA-filtered vacuum runs throughout the sweep so soot stays in the machine and not in your room.

Full chimney sweep & firebox clean

Flue rodded and brushed end to end, firebox, baffle and grate cleaned, and the draw checked before we pack away.

Immediate digital certificate

Your insurance-standard certificate is issued and emailed straight after the visit, with any recommendations written down.

Big old inglenook that had never drawn properly. He swept it, tested the draw and explained clearly what was causing the smoke spillage without any pressure to spend money. Sheets down, vacuum on, not a trace of soot afterwards.

Jackdaws again. Cleared the nest, swept the flue and fitted a guard so it won't happen next spring. Arrived when he said he would, worked cleanly and the certificate landed in my inbox the same day.
